Description

We are looking for a creative, passionate, and motivated Pastry Commis with a strong interest in pastry and bakery. As a Pastry Commis, you will work under the guidance of the Pastry Chef to prepare a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their skills in professional pastry arts.

Responbilities

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, bread, and other bakery products following standard recipes.

  • Prepare ingredients (measuring, weighing, mixing) accurately as instructed.

  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and pastry equipment in compliance with hygiene standards.

  • Assist in decorating and plating desserts to ensure an appealing and aesthetically pleasing presentation.

  • Monitor pastry ingredient stock levels and report shortages to the Pastry Chef.

  • Adhere to workplace safety and food handling procedures.

  • Learn and develop fundamental pastry techniques

Responbilities

  • 2 year working experience in the same field.

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Commis or internship in pastry/bakery is preferred.

  • Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Willingness to work in shifts (morning/afternoon/evening).

  • Culinary school graduates or relevant certifications are a plus but not mandatory.

  • Basic understanding of baking techniques and ingredient functions.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
